Job summary

AECOM in London is seeking an AI Engineer to design and deploy advanced ML models that improve infrastructure and built environments. You will shape end-to-end modelling pipelines, from problem framing to deployment, and work on real-world optimization and simulation tasks.

You’ll collaborate with MLOps, software engineers, product teams, and domain experts to embed AI into our SaaS platform, mentor teammates, and uphold high standards for performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Engineering, CS, OR or data science with strong ML background.
• Proven ability to deploy ML models in production.
• Strong Python and ML framework proficiency (PyTorch, TF, scikit-learn).

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of ML models delivering measurable impact across infrastructure applications.
• Own the end-to-end modelling lifecycle from problem framing to deployment and iteration.
• Tackle complex problems and translate them into scalable ML solutions.
• Design robust experimentation frameworks to evaluate real-world model performance.
• Collaborate with MLOps and software teams to productionize models with high-quality performance.
