Job summary

Humand Talent Ltd. is recruiting a Principal Machine Learning Scientist in London. The role shapes architecture for intelligent discovery, planning and personalisation across a large-scale marketplace, with hands-on leadership in ML system design and production readiness.

You will work on advanced retrieval, ranking and multimodal modelling, guiding teams and collaborating with Product, Data and Engineering to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on technical leadership with no people management.
• 8+ years of industry experience.
• Expertise in ML for search, ranking, recommendations or personalisation.
• Experience with graph-based ML, knowledge graphs or Generative AI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture for large-scale ML systems in production.
• Raise engineering and ML standards across teams.
• Coach and mentor other ML specialists while staying deeply technical.
• Partner with Product, Data and Engineering leaders to shape product direction.
• Translate complex product challenges into scalable production solutions.
