Job summary

John Ruskin College is seeking aSenior MIS Data, Compliance & Timetabling Officer to lead data accuracy, funding compliance and timetable processes across the college group.

Qualifications

• Degree/HND in Business, IT, or equivalent experience.
• Maths and English to Level 2 or equivalent.
• Experience with student records systems or large databases.
• Understanding of current UK post-16 funding methodology.
• Experience with government data returns for post-16 funded learners.
• Experience in post-14 education.

Responsibilities

• Lead the MIS Data Team to ensure accuracy, integrity and completeness of all college data returns.
• Oversee timetabling and support curriculum teams to deliver compliant timetable structures.
• Act as specialist contact for MIS data queries across curriculum and support teams.
• Monitor ILR data using tools like PDSAT and Funding & Monitoring Reports; identify and resolve issues.
• Support preparation and submission of error-free ILR and statutory data returns.
• Assist with internal and mock audits, data integrity processes and document validation.
• Help maintain annual curriculum plan and alignment between timetabling and MIS records.
• Provide training, guidance and reports to curriculum managers to enhance data accuracy.
• Line manage the MIS Data Team with 1:1s and development support.
