Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a senior midwifery leader to guide and develop 24-hour women-centred care. You will support the Director and Head of Midwifery, manage workforce deployment, and drive governance and quality improvements across the maternity service.

The role requires substantial post-registration leadership experience, budget awareness, and a strong commitment to best practice and patient safety. Weekend/on-call work is required to ensure service continuity.

Qualifications

• Registered Midwife with a first degree or equivalent in a health-related subject.
• Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
• Leadership training or qualification completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and act as a role model for the team.
• Lead development of services and clinically governance initiatives within the Family Health Care Group.
