The Opportunity

I am working with a truly innovative and dynamic major IT consultancy that boasts an impressive portfolio of clients across diverse markets.

They are expanding and are looking for a Senior Microsoft Purview Consultant to join their team. The role involves supporting and advising clients on the implementation and enablement of Microsoft Purview, along with associated M365 and Azure Technologies, focusing on data governance, compliance, and risk management solutions.

The Role

As part of a team, you will work on various Microsoft Purview capabilities such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Information Protection (IP), Insider Risk Management (IRM), and Data Lifecycle Management. Your responsibilities include deploying and optimizing Purview solutions for data discovery, classification, and regulatory compliance.

You will design and deploy Microsoft Purview solutions across Microsoft 365 and Azure platforms to meet organizational data governance and compliance objectives. You will assess customer environments and requirements to deliver tailored configurations, policies, and controls. Additionally, you will support deployments of features like eDiscovery, Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention, Communication Compliance, and Information Barriers.

Advising on and implementing best practices for Insider Risk Management and regulatory compliance using Purview's advanced tools will be part of your role. You will work with C-level stakeholders, compliance, and information governance teams to align technical solutions with business policies and regulatory requirements. Integration of Microsoft Purview with wider Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) and Azure infrastructure is also expected.

You will present findings and recommendations to customer technical teams and decision-makers, providing ongoing support and advice to optimize their compliance posture through continuous improvements.

The Person

You should have hands-on experience delivering Microsoft Purview solutions across Microsoft 365 and Azure environments. A thorough understanding of Purview features, including:

• Information Protection (Sensitivity Labels, encryption, etc.)
• eDiscovery & Communication Compliance
• Data Lifecycle Management & Records Management

Additionally, you should have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) and Azure platform integrations. Experience in designing or auditing enterprise data governance and compliance controls, along with strong documentation skills, is essential. You must be able to clearly present findings, recommendations, and technical designs to clients and stakeholders.

A passion for problem-solving, collaborative teamwork, and creating innovative solutions is vital. Due to project sensitivity, you will either hold SC Clearance or be eligible to undertake SC clearance.
