Job summary

Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Mental Health Practitioner to deliver low intensity, evidence-based CBT interventions for children and young people in Bolton education settings. You will assess needs, manage risk and work with families and professionals to promote wellbeing.

You will join a newly developing MHST team, shaping services with education settings in Bolton and fostering whole-school approaches to mental health.

Qualifications

• Must have mental health experience and be skilled in delivering low intensity CBT interventions.
• Able to manage risk and prioritise client safety.
• Passionate about young person-centred practice in educational settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide low intensity, evidence-based CBT interventions to young people in Bolton education settings.
• Assess and manage risk; monitor and escalate as required.
• Offer support, guidance and consultation to families/carers and other professionals.
