Job summary

Simply Business in London is seeking a Senior Technical Pricing Analyst to drive MGA pricing strategy with a tech-first approach. You’ll own analyses end-to-end, collaborate with underwriting and data science, and translate data-driven insights into live market actions.

You will mentor junior analysts, help build a world-class analytics function, and apply Python, R and SQL to high-frequency data using Earnix, Akur8 or Emblem to sustain profitability.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or Physics.
• Experience in statistical/analytical roles within general insurance.
• Proficiency in data manipulation and statistical modeling using SQL, R or Python; familiar with pricing tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor MGA portfolio performance from a risk perspective for profitability.
• Contribute to production/maintenance of technical risk pricing models (Python, R, SQL).
• Identify market trends and advise price adjustments to protect profitability.
• Evaluate new product propositions for profitability and market entry pricing.
• Transform data into insights and dashboards for underwriting reviews.
• Mentor junior analysts and support the Head of MGA Pricing.
