Job summary

Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions, part of Spirax Group, is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer - Metrology in Falmouth to lead metrology programs and optimise CMM processes. You will own MSA, develop robust measurement methods, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical/Metrology-related field or equivalent metrology experience.
• Proven ability in CMM programming with PC-DMIS or Calypso.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001/13485 in regulated environments.
• Experience with inspection plans, test protocols, and statistical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead surveillance testing programmes and drive improvements via data-led insights.
• Develop and validate metrology methods across dimensional, mechanical, and functional measurements.
• Own measurement system analysis (MSA) and ensure compliant processes.
• Design and optimise CMM programmes for tight-tolerance components.
• Create test protocols and procedures, ensure regulatory and quality compliance.
• Conduct hands-on testing and produce evidence-based reports.
• Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing and Quality to resolve challenges and support audits.
