Job summary

Watson‑Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions, part of Spirax Group, seeks a Senior Quality Engineer - Metrology to lead surveillance testing and validate metrology methods across dimensional, mechanical, and functional measurements. You will own MSA processes, design advanced CMM programs, and develop robust inspection protocols for regulated environments.

You will collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing and Quality teams to resolve challenges and support audits, delivering clear, evidence-based reports

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical/Metrology or related field, or equivalent metrology experience.
• Proven ability in CMM programming (PC-DMIS, Calypso)
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 / ISO 13485 in regulated environments
• Experience developing inspection plans, procedures, and test protocols
• Expertise in statistical analysis, MSA, and capability studies

Responsibilities

• Lead surveillance testing programmes and drive improvements through data-led insights
• Develop and validate metrology methods across dimensional, mechanical, and functional measurements
• Take ownership of MSA, ensuring robust, accurate and compliant measurement processes
• Design and optimise CMM programmes for complex, tight-tolerance components
• Create and implement test protocols and technical procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards
• Conduct hands-on testing and inspection, producing clear, evidence-based reports
• Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Manufacturing and Quality teams to resolve technical challenges and support audits
