Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy/Material Science or Applied Engineering.
  • 3–15 years of metallurgical process engineering experience.
  • Hands-on plant experience with melting, refining, casting.
  • Strong leadership, safety awareness and continuous improvement focus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee melting and post-melting processes to meet chemistry specs at cost/risk goals.
  • Set chemistry targets with customer and industry standards.
  • Manage tramp/trace element control in materials.
  • Supervise charge makeup, accuracy in weighing.
  • Control process parameters for casting operations.
  • Coordinate machining of critical components via external vendors.
  • Maintain PLC/HMI software and ladder logic familiarity.
  • Educate customers about processes and engage in site tours.
  • Lead audits of melting, refining, casting and post-production operations.
