Job summary

The Archaeology Data Service (ADS) is seeking a Data Wrangler to enhance metadata pipelines and lead best-practice metadata work. The role involves hands-on wrangling, enrichment, and collaboration with international partners to advance repository metadata capabilities.

You will design and implement improvements, map metadata to standards and ontologies, and advise on strategy while coordinating with ADS teams and external collaborators.

Qualifications

• Experience with metadata in a repository or data archive environment.
• Ability to collect metadata from services or filestores and transform/enhance both structured and 'messy' data.
• In-depth knowledge of metadata standards, models, and controlled vocabularies or gazetteers in at least one discipline.
