Zachary Daniels in Manchester is seeking an experienced Senior Merchandiser to own trading performance and strategy across designated brands. You will collaborate with the Head of Merchandising and commercial teams to drive sales, profitability and stock efficiency.

The role is fast-paced, hands-on with genuine ownership and the opportunity to shape what comes next within a well-established retailer undergoing transformation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Merchandiser or Senior Merchandiser from fashion.
• Commercially sharp, able to translate data into trading decisions.
• Able to lead at pace and adapt through change.
• Natural leader with ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong systems skills and experience with merchandise planning tools.

Responsibilities

• Own the sales, stock and intake strategy for your categories.
• Lead weekly and seasonal trade analysis to identify risk and opportunity.
• Shape range architecture with Buying and future range planning.
• Manage markdown, promotions and clearance to protect margin.
• Coach and develop an Assistant Merchandiser/Merchandiser.
• Build cross-functional relationships across Buying, Planning, Supply Chain and Retail.
• Present trade updates and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Drive transformation initiatives and bring fresh thinking to established ways of working.
