Job summary

Fusion People Ltd is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor for MEP projects in Central London. You will lead commercial management, cost control and contract administration across complex live environments, delivering high-profile MEP schemes.

You will work within a collaborative team, handling measurements, valuations, payments, variations and CVRs while driving commercial accuracy and proactive risk management.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial management within an M&E or MEP contracting environment.
• Strong understanding of subcontract procurement and account management.
• Proven experience in cost control, change management and commercial reporting.
• Working knowledge of JCT and NEC forms of contract.
• Experience producing CVRs, forecasts and monthly commercial reports.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively to a wider commercial team.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial delivery of MEP works across allocated projects.
• Carry out measurement and valuation of works from site records and drawings.
• Prepare Applications for Payment and Payment Notices in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Manage project variations, change control and associated commercial impacts.
• Procure, administer and manage subcontractor accounts through to final account settlement.
• Prepare and maintain Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), cost-to-complete forecasts and commercial risk registers.
• Monitor and manage project cash flow and turnover forecasts.
• Produce internal valuations, subcontract liability reports and monthly commercial reports.
• Negotiate and agree subcontractor and supplier accounts.
• Ensure compliance with NEC and JCT contract requirements and internal governance procedures.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, supply chain partners and internal stakeholders.
