Job summary

Evergreen Talent Group is seeking a Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor for a hyperscale data centre project in Blyth, Northumberland. You will take commercial ownership of high-value MEP packages and work with a Tier 1 contractor.

The role involves procurement, cost control, valuations, change management and final accounts, with oversight from the MEP Commercial Manager. Site-based work and UK-wide opportunities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline with relevant professional accreditation.
• Minimum five years QS experience in construction or engineering sectors, with MEP focus.
• Strong commercial awareness and contractual knowledge (NEC/JCT or bespoke contracts).

Responsibilities

• Take commercial ownership of designated MEP packages including procurement and final accounts.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, cost-to-complete and commercial performance.
• Provide commercial guidance to project teams and senior management.
• Prepare valuations, payment certificates and manage subcontractor accounts.
