Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking a Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor to join its Cambridge team. You will lead the commercial management of mechanical and electrical packages across multiple projects, ensuring cost control from pre-contract through final account.

Working with an experienced leadership group, you will prepare cost plans, budgets and tender documents, manage procurement, contracts and change control, and build strong client relationships to deliver high-quality outcomes on healthcare,

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related discipline.
• Experience in MEP Quantity Surveying or Building Services.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services.
• Experience managing MEP costs from pre-contract to final account.
• Familiarity with NEC and JCT contracts.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Chartered status (RICS or equivalent) desirable.
• Proactive, commercially aware mindset with growth ambition.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of mechanical and electrical packages across multiple projects.
• Prepare cost plans, budgets, estimates and tender documentation.
• Manage procurement activities, contractor appointments and tender evaluations.
• Administer contracts and maintain commercial compliance throughout project lifecycles.
• Oversee valuations, variations, change control and final accounts.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Support value engineering and risk management initiatives.
• Monitor commercial performance against programme and budget targets.
• Lead commercial meetings, workshops and client presentations.
