Job summary

Kier Group's Mechanical and Electrical team in Leeds is seeking an experienced MEP Senior Planner to lead planning across major projects in the Northern region. You will mentor junior planners and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver robust programmes and achieve project milestones.

The role requires hands-on experience with Asta PowerProject, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of NEC/JCT contracts. Full-time, permanent, based in Leeds.

Qualifications

• Advanced user of Asta PowerProject to create fully linked MEP programmes.
• On-site MEP planning experience across multiple projects, including tender/preconstruction.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge of NEC/JCT contract forms and their impact on planning.

Responsibilities

• Leading MEP planning on major projects and mentoring junior planners.
• Developing and managing detailed MEP programmes using Asta PowerProject.
• Managing programme updates, forensic analysis, and delay evaluations.
• Collaborating with commercial teams to align outputs with NEC/JCT contracts.
• Presenting programme strategies to leadership and clients.
