Job summary

Oxford Ionics, part of IonQ, is seeking a Senior Facilities Technician to join our Facilities team at our Oxford site. This hands-on role supports day-to-day operation of building systems, with responsibilities across HVAC, electrical, plumbing and safety compliance.

You will inspect, maintain and repair building systems, coordinate with vendors, and keep thorough records while ensuring a safe, reliable environment for our highly technical teams.

Qualifications

• A technical degree or certification with at least 10 years’ experience in facilities maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read schematics and operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular inspections, maintenance and minor repairs across building systems.
• Follow preventative maintenance schedules and maintain site records.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialised work.
• Support facilities emergency response and after-hours on-call when required.
