Job summary

Walker & Sloan is seeking an experienced MEP Estimator to strengthen pre-construction and estimating across major data centre, defence and energy opportunities in the UK. You will turn technical information into clear, auditable estimates for tender stage and work closely with design, engineering and operations teams.

You will review drawings, specifications and schedules to establish the full scope of mechanical, electrical and public health services, identify gaps, and build detailed estimates

Qualifications

• Experience estimating MEP services across data centres, defence or energy projects.
• Ability to review drawings/specifications and translate into reliable commercial allowances.
• Proven track record of producing auditable estimates at tender stage.

Responsibilities

• Review MEP drawings and specifications to establish full mechanical, electrical and public health scope.
• Identify design gaps, clarify responsibilities and build detailed estimates including labour, plant and materials.
• Engage with specialist subcontractors, issue inquiries and compare quotations on a like-for-like basis.
• Present cost summaries and support negotiations at adjudication with clear assumptions.
