Job summary

Randstad CPE is expanding its team in Gerrards Cross and seeks two experienced M&E Estimators to deliver accurate, competitive bids for high-tech data centre projects across the UK and Europe. Immediate start and a permanent role with strong pipeline.

Role requires proven M&E estimating capability within a main contractor or major M&E sub-contractor, and expertise in data centre environments and complex electrical/mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an M&E estimator in a main contractor or M&E sub-contractor.
• Essential data centre or high-tech critical environment experience.
• Strong understanding of electrical/mechanical systems, power distribution and HVAC.
• Proficient with estimating software and advanced MS Excel.
• Based within a realistic commuting distance of Gerrards Cross.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate Mechanical & Electrical estimates, tender submissions, and cost plans for mission-critical Data Centre projects.
• Analyze tender documents, specifications, electrical/mechanical drawings, and schedules of rates.
• Perform detailed material and labor take-offs.
• Issue supply chain inquiries, liaise with sub-contractors/vendors, and evaluate quotations for competitiveness and compliance.
• Work closely with pre-construction, commercial, and engineering teams to identify cost-saving initiatives and value engineering opportunities.
• Present financial breakdowns and tenders to senior leadership and key project stakeholders.
