Job summary

Mott MacDonald Ltd. is seeking an experienced Senior MEP BIM Technician to lead the production and coordination of digital engineering solutions for nuclear, defence, energy, and major infrastructure projects.

You will work with engineers, designers, and BIM professionals to ensure high-quality deliverables, drive digital delivery excellence, and mentor newer team members in BIM best practices.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience producing and coordinating MEP BIM models using Revit.
• Strong understanding of BIM processes, information management principles and industry standards.
• Experience coordinating MEP services within multidisciplinary design environments.
• Sound knowledge of building services engineering, construction methodologies and relevant regulations.
• Ability to review and check technical deliverables to a high standard.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience mentoring or supporting the development of junior team members.
• Proactive approach to problem solving with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead the production, coordination and management of MEP BIM models and associated deliverables using Revit and other digital design tools.
• Oversee the preparation and development of detailed drawings, schedules and technical documentation across all project stages.
• Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure seamless integration of MEP services within wider project models.
• Support the implementation of BIM standards, procedures and information management requirements across projects.
• Undertake model reviews and quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance with project requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to BIM Technicians and junior team members.
• Contribute to clash detection, model coordination and design reviews to support efficient project delivery.
• Participate in site surveys, technical workshops and client meetings as required.
• Support project teams in resolving technical and design coordination challenges.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives and promote best practice in digital delivery.
