Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust delivers CAMHS in Hampshire. CAMHS is seeking to appoint an experienced, compassionate Band 7 Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our Single Point of Access (SPA) Team in Chandlers Ford.

As a senior practitioner, you will provide clinical leadership at the front door, ensure referrals are managed safely and in line with service thresholds, support colleagues with complex decision‑making, risk assessment and capacity oversight, and

Qualifications

• Must hold current registration with NMC, SWE, or HCPC.
• Substantial experience working within mental health services.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust delivers the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service in Hampshire.

CAMHS is seeking to appoint an experienced, compassionate, and highly skilled Band 7 Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our dynamic Single Point of Access (SPA) Team.

As a senior practitioner within the SPA team, you will provide clinical leadership and oversight at the front door of CAMHS, ensuring referrals are managed safely, effectively, and in line with service thresholds. The role involves supporting colleagues with complex clinical decision-making, risk assessment and management, demand and capacity oversight, and the delivery of patient-centred care.

The Single Point of Access is a vital part of the CAMHS front door that acts as the first point of contact for young people, families, and professionals seeking mental health support for young people. Through the provision of timely, high-quality triage and assessment of referrals, you will help ensure that young people experiencing mental health difficulties receive access to the most appropriate services and interventions.

To be successful, you must hold current professional registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), Social Work England (SWE), or the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and have substantial experience working within mental health services.

The team is based at New Kings Court in Chandlers Ford, Eastleigh. The service operates Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.
