Job summary

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 7 Senior Mental Health Practitioner for the CAMHS SPA in Chandlers Ford. You will lead triage, oversee referrals, and work with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver safe, timely assessments for young people and families.

You will be registered with NMC/HCPC/Social Work England and bring substantial mental health experience, CPD, and supervision skills to support complex cases and service development.

Qualifications

• Registration with NMC/HCPC/Social Work England is required.
• Evidence of continuous professional development and mentorship training.
• Experience supervising staff and students in mental health settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and triage referrals at CAMHS SPA.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and crisis interventions.
• Develop crisis and care plans and coordinate community access.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan care for young people.
• Support governance, safeguarding, and service thresholds adherence.
