Job summary

Practice Plus Group are recruiting a Senior Mental Health Nurse to join the Mental Health team at HMP Wakefield. You will provide clinical leadership for patients with complex care needs, spearhead multidisciplinary decisions, and ensure high standards of care within a high-security prison setting.

You will have a substantive NMC registration, and contribute to training, development, and evidence-based practice while supporting colleagues in delivery of comprehensive assessments and care

Qualifications

• Qualified Senior Mental Health Nurse with NMC registration.
• Experience in managing complex mental health conditions.
• Strong risk assessment and care planning abilities.
• Experience in a prison, hospital or secure environment is advantageous.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary clinical discussions.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership for patients with complex needs in a prison setting.
• Lead multidisciplinary decision-making and sessions such as Safer Intervention Meetings and complex case reviews.
• Oversee high-quality, evidence-based care and risk assessments.
• Support teams with case management and development of person-centred care plans.
• Pursue ongoing professional development through internal and external training.
