Job summary

Are you an experienced Mental Health Nurse who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment? We are seeking dedicated RMNs to join our integrated Mental Health & Substance Use Service at HMP Dovegate in Uttoxeter. These new roles support triage and assessment for men newly received into custody. You will collaborate with the multidisciplinary Healthcare team to ensure early identification of mental health needs and timely provision of care. HMP Dovegate is a Category B adult male facility for men aged 21 and upwards, on remand or serving sentences. If you are an experienced RMN committed to high-quality care, we want to hear from you.

Main duties include:

1. Providing evidence-based interventions within a team setting.
2. Managing a caseload, undertaking assessments and reviews.
3. Using the Care Programme Approach as a care coordinator, communicating with involved parties up to discharge.
4. Working collaboratively with individuals, carers, and professionals to deliver effective mental health and substance misuse services.
5. Supporting individuals from initial assessment through to discharge, including transferring care to other providers such as hospitals or CMHTs.
6. Helping service users to live hopeful and fulfilling lives as part of the community.
