Job summary

ExTrac is seeking a Senior Analyst for the MENA region to anticipate political and security developments across the region. You will work in Arabic daily, turning findings into timely intelligence products and contributing to ExTrac's data platform.

You will produce daily monitoring and regular deep-dives, manage source coverage, mentor junior analysts, and help shape monitoring frameworks and AI-enabled workflows within a small, fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in intelligence analysis, geopolitical risk, disinformation analysis or related field.
• Strong knowledge of MENA politics and security actors.
• Fluency in written Arabic across Modern Standard Arabic and dialects.
• Experience applying structured analytical methodologies to OSINT and other data environments.
• Proven ability to produce concise, policy-relevant intelligence under tight deadlines.
• Experience mentoring junior analysts and leading small analytical projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily, weekly, monthly, flash and deep-dive analytical reporting on MENA and VEOs.
• Work in Arabic daily; translate and assess Arabic-language documents and sources.
• Conduct intelligence collection and analysis of political, security and socio-economic developments in MENA.
• Monitor Arabic- and English-language media and assess online ecosystems and narratives.
• Develop and maintain subject-matter expertise across designated countries and actors.
• Lead source coverage, verify sources and maintain structured datasets.
