Job summary

Yorkshire Water is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join the Asset Delivery team and lead MEICA projects across Clean Water, Waste Water and Networks. The role requires technical supervision, design coordination, and CDM compliance within a regulated utility environment.

You will drive health and safety standards, oversee financials, and ensure adherence to YW specifications. Hybrid working with site visits is expected.

Qualifications

• ICA-based apprenticeship or Engineering degree or equivalent
• Understands control of works – Permits, POWRA, RAMS etc
• Understanding of MEICA equipment and its role
• Broad electrical/ICA experience for engineered solutions
• Knowledge of CDM regulations and practical application
• Knowledge of design and project delivery process incl hazard/risk
• Ability to respond to technical/non-technical queries
• Experience with ATEX standards
• Experience of SI & ICA development/documentation procedures
• Familiarity with SI/ICA standards and best practices
• Experience optimising SI control systems in ICA landscape

Responsibilities

• Provide technical supervision and line management of Project Technicians
• Coordinate design and safe delivery of MEICA projects
• Ensure compliance with CDM as Principal Contractor
• Adhere to Yorkshire Water engineering specs and documentation
• Drive health & safety, risk management, control of work
• Maintain robust financial management and commercial awareness
