Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Senior MEICA Estimator/MEICA Proposals Engineer to join our Southern Water Framework team. This role supports pricing for water industry projects, collaborating with the delivery team and client to deliver value-for-money MEICA solutions.

Based in the Southern Water region with remote working available and travel as needed, the role involves design management input, tender pricing, and active involvement across pre-construction phases to identify risks and opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of delivering tenders and pricing in the water industry.
• Experience with Pre-Construction and Early Contractor Involvement phases.
• Ability to manage a portfolio of projects within a framework environment.
• Good understanding of client requirements and commercial awareness.
• Experience using estimating IT packages.
• Full driving licence.
• Knowledge of carbon data capture.

Responsibilities

• Prepare multi-discipline tender pricing and produce tiers of pricing from top-down budgets to bottom-up lump sums.
• Contribute to Pre-Construction and Early Contractor Involvement phases with design input.
• Collaborate with estimators, bid managers, planners, design managers, commercial and delivery teams to develop prices.
• Coordinate with suppliers, sub-contractors and in-house resources; assess quotations.
• Identify risks and opportunities; attend site visits and meetings; ensure tenders meet commercial requirements.
