Job description

The Role

Senior Medical Writer to create copy for invitation letters, websites, programme books, slide decks, published reports, and full manuscripts.

• Develop concepts and content
• QA and review materials
• Serve as a knowledge source for therapy areas such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease, understanding the ABPI Code of Practice, and the roles of organizations like NICE
• Collaborate with authors and speakers
• Provide guidance and supervision to Associate Medical Writers (AMWs) and Medical Writers (MWs)

You

• Hold a good degree in life sciences and training in the ABPI Code of Practice
• Have editorial experience in medical education, including writing, editing, and proofreading
• Capable of synthesizing complex information and solving problems pragmatically
• Possess knowledge of pharmacology, evidence-based medicine, drug regulation, and governance (e.g., clinical trials, NICE)
• Bonus points for knowledge of cardiovascular, renal, or metabolic diseases, their treatments, management in the UK, and landmark clinical trials
