Job summary

Platform Recruitment is seeking an experienced Medical Sector Manager to lead complex medical and scientific product development projects from concept through launch. You will couple technical leadership with project management and commercial responsibilities, guiding multidisciplinary teams and maintaining client relationships in the West Midlands.

This role requires a Mechanical/Mechatronics/design engineering background, ISO 13485 experience, and a track record of delivering medical products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a relevant engineering discipline with strong technical depth.
• Experience delivering medical product development within ISO 13485 framework.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary engineering projects and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead medical and scientific product development projects from concept through to launch.
• Take technical ownership and ensure designs meet client requirements and quality standards.
• Plan and manage project budgets, costs, timescales, resources and risks.
• Prepare costed proposals and quotations for clients.
• Coordinate teams across mechanical, electronics, software and product design.
