Job summary

Boots Online Doctor is seeking a Medical Operations Lead to oversee the day-to-day running of our medical service. You will lead and support doctors, ensure safe, high-quality care, and shape how the clinical service runs, improves and grows from a remote/hybrid setup.

You will collaborate with operations, pharmacy, governance, and product teams to optimise clinical workflows and incidents, while maintaining GMC standards and patient safety as a top priority.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise and inclusion on the GP Register.
• Substantial experience working as a GP in the UK.
• Experience of leading or supervising clinical teams.
• Understanding of clinical governance, audit and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day clinical operations of our doctor service, ensuring patient demand is met safely and efficiently.
• Recruit, onboard, support and develop our team of doctors.
• Plan clinical capacity and rotas with the clinical operations team.
• Monitor and improve the quality of consultations through audit, feedback and peer review.
• Collaborate with People Development Managers to ensure quality, engagement and productivity across GP teams.
• Act as a senior escalation point for complex clinical queries, complaints and incidents.
• Contribute to clinical governance, including incident reviews and prescribing guidelines.
