You will lead the Equipment Engineering section and work with the Medical Devices Manager to deliver a safe, high-quality medical equipment service in a major NHS Trust.

• Demonstrated leadership in a medical equipment environment.
• Experience in supervising engineering or technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective leadership and day-to-day management of the Equipment Engineering section.
• Support the Medical Devices Manager in operational and strategic management of the department.
• Ensure departmental strategies, policies and SOPs are implemented and maintained.
• Act as Professional Supervisor for the Medical Devices Management Department, ensuring delivery of a high-quality medical equipment service.
• Oversee safe procurement, maintenance, management and lifecycle of medical devices across the Trust.
• Ensure compliance with MHRA guidance, legislation and technical standards.
• Lead incident reporting related to medical devices and coordinate with Health, Safety and Risk Department.
• Manage staff performance, appraisals, training and development within the engineering team.
• Promote continuous service improvement and quality assurance initiatives.
