Job summary

Viatris is seeking a Senior Device Design Engineer to lead the end-to-end development of combination products, including device design, documentation and regulatory submissions. You will drive design transfer, risk management and QMS compliance across cross‑functional teams at multiple sites in the UK and Ireland.

The role requires strong CAD skills (SolidWorks/Creo), CFD/FEA experience, and a background in medical device design with emphasis on quality and regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Product Design or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• End-to-end development of combination products or medical devices from concept to design transfer.
• Application of structured engineering methodologies to resolve complex design challenges, with a strong analytical mindset.
• Experience with ISO 13485 Quality Management Systems and ISO 14971 Medical Device Risk Management.
• Ability to work as part of a dynamic, fast-paced team with accountability for timely deliverables.
• Experience designing components for plastic injection moulding.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of combination products from concept through design transfer.
• Ensure DHF documentation and regulatory submissions are delivered on time.
• Maintain ISO 13485 QMS documentation and risk management files.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support design transfer to manufacturing.
• Travel between Dublin, Cambridge and Sandwich sites; occasional international travel may be required.
