Job summary

ES Recruit is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join an innovative engineering business delivering complex projects in highly regulated industries. You will define, integrate and validate multidisciplinary systems, from concept through commissioning, ensuring safety and customer requirements are met.

The role requires experience across nuclear, defence or aerospace sectors, strong systems thinking, and collaboration across mechanical, electrical and software teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in nuclear, defence, aerospace or other highly regulated sectors.
• Strong emphasis on systems thinking and requirements management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of systems engineering activities from concept to commissioning.
• Capture, analyse and manage system requirements with full traceability to verification.
• Develop and maintain system architectures, functional models and interfaces.
• Support integration, verification, validation and safety case activities for compliant delivery.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and customers to deliver robust technical solutions.
