Senior Mechanical Project Manager

Meridian is working with a well-established MEP and Building Services company near Bradford that is expanding its team after many successful years. Specialising in full M&E fit-outs, you will manage larger commercial and light industrial contracts. Past projects include schools, warehouses, care homes, apartments, offices, hospitals, and health centres.

As they grow their management team, they seek a Senior Mechanical Project Manager to oversee high-value projects such as hospitals and industrial fit-outs. If you are a Mechanical Project Manager with experience in large, multi-million-pound fit-outs at a senior level, and you desire a role where you can take ownership from start to finish, earning bonuses in a hands-on capacity, this role is for you.

Requirements for this role:

1. Up-to-date Mechanical qualifications, e.g., CSCS and NVQs
2. SMSTS/SSSTS certification (ideal)
3. Experience in project management and senior leadership roles
4. Management of multi-million-pound and large-scale commercial and/or industrial fit-outs
5. Experience with commercial fit-outs, including 1st and 2nd fix, mechanical building services, HVAC systems, etc.

Duties will include:

1. Owning Mechanical fit-outs on projects like hospitals, warehouses, and health centres
2. Overseeing and coordinating fit-outs by assisting with planning, estimating, pre-contracting, and handover stages in line with project timelines
3. Collaborating with other Project Managers to coordinate labour and providing updates to Senior Leadership
4. Working closely with on-site Mechanical Engineers and subcontractors to meet deadlines and resolve challenges, ensuring efficient and cost-effective services for clients
5. Communicating with Supervisors and Managers to ensure effective communication across channels and supply chain
6. Supporting Surveyors, Estimators, and Pre-Contractors in financial forecasting
7. Acting as the primary contact for clients to maintain and grow relationships and identify new business opportunities
