Job summary

Kier Group – Kier Mechanical & Electrical is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer for a large-scale custodial sector project in Shaftesbury, Dorset. This on-site, permanent role offers full-time hours with some flexibility and a focus on delivering compliant, on-budget, on-time mechanical services.

You'll review designs with design teams and clients, manage change control and risk, lead project teams, and ensure works are procured and carried out safely following Kier standards and UK

Qualifications

• CSCS and SMSTS accreditation.
• Experience managing project engineering services.
• Ability to manage budgets and priorities.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

We're looking for a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join our Kier Mechanical & Electrical team based on a large scale project in the Custodial sector.

Location: Shaftesbury, Dorset

Hours: Full time, Permanent - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, You'll Be Working Within The Kier Mechanical & Electrical Team, Supporting Them In Delivering Effective Mechanical Project Engineering Services To Ensure Projects Are Fully Compliant, On Budget And On Time. Your Day To Day Will Include

• Reviewing designs with design teams and clients to ensure they are optimised for efficient and safe construction
• Managing robust change control processes and overseeing risk and opportunity
• Implementing and managing quality control procedures in line with Kier Standards
• Providing leadership and guidance to project team members, setting clear expectations and offering feedback
• Ensuring all works are procured, planned and carried out safely in accordance with Kier standards and UK law
