Job summary

MEPJOBS UK is seeking a Senior Mechanical MEP Engineer to lead the technical delivery and coordination of building services across a range of projects. You will drive design review, coordination, installation, commissioning and handover, ensuring regulatory and client standards are met.

You will oversee HVAC, domestic water, and public health systems, coordinate with electrical and architectural teams, and mentor junior engineers on complex projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Senior Mechanical MEP / Building Services role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services and HVAC systems.
• Experience coordinating with other MEP and construction disciplines.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mechanical MEP activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and coordinate mechanical designs, drawings, specifications and submissions.
• Oversee HVAC, heating, ventilation, chilled water, domestic water and public health systems.
• Coordinate mechanical services with electrical, structural and architectural disciplines.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers and specialist contractors.
• Attend design, coordination and progress meetings with clients and project teams.
• Assist with variations, valuations, cost control and commercial matters.
• Ensure works comply with UK regulations, British Standards, CIBSE guidance and project specs.
