Job summary

Emtec Building Services in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to lead estimates from enquiry through tender submission across commercial, industrial and public sector projects. You'll review drawings, prepare take-offs, price schedules and coordinate with pre-construction teams to deliver competitive bids.

The role demands strong M&E knowledge, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

> Previous experience in a Mechanical Estimator role within M&E, building services or construction.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed mechanical estimates and tender submissions across a range of projects.
Review drawings, specifications and tender documents to understand scope.
Produce accurate take-offs, cost plans and pricing schedules.
Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Identify risks, opportunities and challenges at tender stage.
Collaborate with pre-construction, commercial and delivery teams on bids.
Lead or support tender submissions depending on project size.
Support tender reviews and internal approvals.
Maintain pricing information and estimating data.
