Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator or in a similar role within construction/mechanical services.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, installations, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for mechanical installations, repairs, and maintenance projects.
• Review tender documentation and project specifications to develop comprehensive costings.
• Collaborate with project management and design teams to gather information for estimates.
• Analyse historical data, market trends, and material costs to provide competitive pricing.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
• Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and negotiate terms.
• Prepare clear estimate documentation and submit within required timeframes.
• Report to the Pre-Construction Manager and assist in bid reviews and process improvements.
