Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to lead the mechanical engineering team across multiple hospital sites, delivering planned, reactive and emergency maintenance to keep essential services available for patients and staff. Atlas BFW Management Ltd administers the role on Atlas terms.

You will prioritise workloads, coordinate contractors and suppliers, and ensure compliance with health and safety, statutory requirements and local procedures.

Qualifications

• Lead the delivery of planned, reactive and corrective maintenance across mechanical systems.
• Plan daily workloads and allocate labour, contractors and materials based on risk and priority.
• Coordinate contingency actions with contractors, utilities and emergency services to protect patients and service continuity.
• Provide technical advice to Estates managers and senior staff as the first escalation point.
• Participate in the Estates Major Incident Team and respond to emergencies and business-continuity events.
• Commit to professional conduct, open communication and delivering value for money.

Responsabilités

• Lead the safe and effective delivery of planned, reactive and corrective maintenance across mechanical engineering and associated electro-mechanical systems.
• Plan and prioritise daily workloads using the Estates management system, allocating labour, contractors, materials and specialist support according to risk.
• Monitor and escalate failures, coordinate with contractors and external providers to protect service continuity.
• Provide leadership and clear technical guidance to Estates managers and duty managers.
• Participate in the Estates Major Incident Team and ensure staff are briefed and trained for mechanical emergency plans.
