Job summary

MWH Treatment is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design activities across major water and wastewater projects in the UK. You will deliver robust, buildable solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards while driving asset performance and safety.

You will mentor junior engineers and work closely with Process, EICA, Civil, Structural, Digital and Commissioning teams to ensure integrated delivery and value across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Lead mechanical design tasks to meet standards, budgets and programmes.
• Develop designs, specifications, layouts and documentation for asset performance.
• Produce cost-effective solutions considering life-cycle costs.
• Review outputs for quality and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor juniors and coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design tasks across major projects.
• Develop equipment specs, plant layouts and technical docs.
• Coordinate with Process, EICA, Civil, Structural, Digital and Commissioning teams.
• Identify risks and opportunities for optimisation throughout projects.
• Support selection of equipment including pumps and valves.
