Job summary

Stantec in Belfast is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Water team. You will lead mechanical design for water and wastewater projects, from feasibility to construction support, and work with clients, contractors, and partners to deliver robust, sustainable solutions.

The role offers hybrid working, opportunities to mentor junior engineers, and to contribute to AMP8 delivery across NI Water and Uisce Éireann, shaping resilient infrastructure for communities.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, ideally Chartered or working toward.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design for water infrastructure and wastewater projects.
• Manage feasibility, optioneering, detailed design and construction support.
• Mentor junior engineers and support line management.
