Job summary

Stryker in Belfast, United Kingdom, is seeking a Senior Staff Mechanical Engineer in a hybrid role with up to 2 days onsite per week. You will lead mechanical and electro-mechanical design activities, translating user needs into design inputs and driving prototyping, testing, and verification to ensure performance and compliance.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with manufacturing, regulatory, quality and project teams, and contribute to DHF documentation while delivering high-quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent required.
• 6+ years of experience in mechanical/electro-mechanical design.
• Experience with DFM, GD&T, and creating 3D models and drawings.
• Experience in regulated medical device development and cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of mechanical and electro-mechanical modules and subsystems.
• Translate user needs into design inputs and specifications.
• Plan prototyping, testing, verification, and problem solving activities.
• Drive resolution of complex design issues and support continuous product and process improvements.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to design standards and procedures.
