Job summary

Dropp in Halesowen is seeking a mechanical design engineer to design bespoke pipework systems for water, food, oil & gas sectors. You will produce 3D models and drawings from concept to installation, using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, and collaborate with on-site teams.

The role requires a mechanical engineering degree or equivalent, with pipework or process equipment design experience and welding/fabrication know‑how.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering degree, HNC/HND or equivalent experience.
• Pipework or process equipment design experience.
• SolidWorks routing and weldments experience.
• Welding or fabrication experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models, fabrication and installation drawings, and BOMs in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Interpret P&IDs and specs; meet clients on site or remotely.
• Manage revisions and support estimators, fabricators and site teams.
