Job summary

VanRath Search & Selection in Kilrea, Northern Ireland invites a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design projects from concept to manufacture for UK/European customers. You’ll create detailed 3D CAD models and drawings, manage BOMs, and drive improvements in collaboration with production and project teams on a range of challenging, bespoke solutions.

Qualifications

Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Strong experience in mechanical design and product development.
Proven ability to produce detailed manufacturing drawings.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of new products and engineering solutions.
Produce detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings and Bills of Materials.
Manage projects from concept through design, manufacture and implementation.
Ensure designs meet applicable standards and customer specifications.
Collaborate with production to improve manufacturability and solve technical challenges.
Engage with customers and suppliers on bespoke requirements.
Participate in design reviews and drive continuous improvement.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practice.
