Job summary

Search Consultancy Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead building services design across a diverse portfolio, engaging with clients and multidisciplinary teams on high-profile developments.

You will own projects from concept to completion, mentor junior engineers, ensure timely delivery, and uphold UK/European standards while coordinating across architects and contractors.

Qualifications

• Experience across sectors: commercial, retail, residential, healthcare, and education.
• Experience leading projects and managing client relationships.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Degree qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design and delivery of building services projects.
• Prepare detailed engineering designs, calculations, specifications, and reports.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other design disciplines.
• Attend client meetings and provide technical advice throughout project lifecycles.
• Manage project programmes, resources, and deliverables.
• Support and mentor junior engineering team members.
• Ensure compliance with relevant UK and European standards and regulations.
