Senior Mechanical Engineer Lead - Peterborough

£50k-£60k plus benefits

Are you a degree-qualified mechanical engineer who is Chartered (or working towards it) with experience in water sector projects? Our client has recently opened an office in Peterborough and is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer Lead. The role involves mentoring and coaching junior team members and fostering a collaborative environment.

The successful candidate will be passionate about preserving the natural world, including rivers, wetlands, and coastlines. You will be experienced in checking and reviewing design deliverables to ensure they are fit for purpose and meet standards and specifications for successful project delivery.

Designs will include mechanical and hydraulic systems, such as pumping systems, plant, and building services. You will support the Senior Design Manager by checking quality, safety, and technical standards, including DSEAR compliance. Knowledge of health, safety, and welfare relevant to mechanical engineering is essential. You will also contribute to CDM meetings and prepare PCI information.
