Job summary

Ralliant is seeking a Mechanical Staff Engineer in the Glasgow area to provide senior technical leadership for embedded monitoring and industrial instrumentation products. You will translate requirements into robust mechanical solutions, oversee enclosure and thermal management design, and drive manufacturing and cost objectives across product platforms.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Experience designing embedded hardware products from concept through production and lifecycle.
Ability to lead complex mechanical design investigations with multidisciplinary teams.
Strong understanding of materials, thermal management, reliability engineering.
Experience with regulatory compliance and product qualification activities.
Proven mentoring and technical coaching skills.

Responsibilities

Lead mechanical design and development of embedded monitoring and industrial instrumentation products.
Translate requirements into robust mechanical solutions meeting performance, environmental, and cost objectives.
Design enclosures, thermal management, mounting, and packaging components; drive DFx initiatives.
Lead technical reviews, governance, and standards; mentor engineers across teams.
Support prototypes, environmental qualification, production launch, and field issue resolution.
