Job summary

Lynx Recruitment Ltd is seeking Mechanical Engineers in London (Hybrid) to work on challenging products across MedTech, robotics, life sciences and related fields. You'll design and develop complex mechanical systems, taking concepts from idea through prototyping and into manufacture.

The role involves 3D CAD modelling, DFMA, materials and tolerancing, and collaboration with suppliers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust electromechanical solutions.

Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Proficiency with a 3D CAD package such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor or CATIA.
• Experience taking designs through prototype, testing and manufacture.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, materials and tolerancing.
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex mechanical products from concept to manufacture.
• Create 3D CAD models and detailed engineering drawings.
• Support DFMA and manufacturing process selections.

We're looking to speak with Mechanical Engineers across London (Hybrid) who are working on interesting, technically challenging products and would be open to hearing about new opportunities

We're particularly interested in engineers from MedTech, medical devices, robotics, life sciences, instrumentation, aerospace, defence and advanced product development.

The Role

You'll be involved in the design and development of complex mechanical products, taking concepts through design, prototyping, testing and into manufacture.

Depending on your background, this could include:

• Mechanical design and product development
• 3D CAD modelling and detailed engineering drawings
• Design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA)
• Materials, tolerancing and component selection
• Prototyping, testing and design verification
• Working with suppliers and manufacturers
• Developing complex electromechanical products and mechanisms
• Supporting NPI and transition into production
• Solving challenging engineering problems from concept through to finished product

We're Interested In Engineers With:

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering
• Strong experience in mechanical design and product development
• Proficiency with a 3D CAD package such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor or CATIA
• Experience taking designs through prototype, testing and manufacture
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, materials and tolerancing
