Job summary

Lynx Recruitment Ltd is seeking Mechanical Engineers in London (Hybrid) to design and develop complex mechanical products from concept through to manufacture. You will contribute across 3D CAD modelling, design for manufacture, tolerancing, materials selection and design verification.

Ideal candidates will hold a Mechanical Engineering degree, have strong mechanical design experience, and be proficient in SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor or CATIA.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD packages such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor or CATIA.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex mechanical products through concept, prototype, testing and into manufacture.
• 3D CAD modelling and detailed engineering drawings.
• DFMA and component selection, tolerancing and materials understanding.
• Prototype, test, verify design, and work with suppliers and manufacturers.
• Develop electromechanical products and mechanisms for production.

Job description

We're looking to speak with Mechanical Engineers across London (Hybrid) who are working on interesting, technically challenging products and would be open to hearing about new opportunities.

We're particularly interested in engineers from MedTech, medical devices, robotics, life sciences, instrumentation, aerospace, defence and advanced product development.

The Role

You'll be involved in the design and development of complex mechanical products, taking concepts through design, prototyping, testing and into manufacture.

Depending on your background, this could include:

• Mechanical design and product development
• 3D CAD modelling and detailed engineering drawings
• Design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA)
• Materials, tolerancing and component selection
• Prototyping, testing and design verification
• Working with suppliers and manufacturers
• Developing complex electromechanical products and mechanisms
• Supporting NPI and transition into production
• Solving challenging engineering problems from concept through to finished product

We're Interested In Engineers With:

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering
• Strong experience in mechanical design and product development
• Proficiency with a 3D CAD package such as SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor or CATIA
• Experience taking designs through prototype, testing and manufacture
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, materials and tolerancing
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary engineering environment
