A Senior Mechanical Engineer is needed by iO Associates to work with a leading global design, engineering, and project management consulting company. They are employed in the infrastructure sector. Through the use of data–rich, virtual, interactive, and collaborative technologies, they help clients make more informed decisions for difficult jobs.

Our organisation is looking for a versatile individual who can lead and deliver a wide range of projects, from major, high–profile programs to specialised consulting, as a Senior Mechanical Engineer.

You bring proven knowledge and experience in:

• A degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, or its equivalent, and experience in the field.
• Having a charter with an appropriate engineering school, or working towards one.
• Originality and expertise throughout the design process, including requirements gathering, idea creation, development, and downselection.
• Experience adhering to industry standards and design rules suitable for a safety–critical sector.
• Previous experience in a safety–critical industry, such as nuclear.

Responsibilities:

• Take the lead in developing the best design solutions to meet the needs of the customer.
• Create supporting calculations and arguments to show how well the design performs in comparison to the specifications.
• Write technical papers and keep them up to date.
• Oversee the completion of your projects in accordance with the budget, schedule, and quality standards.
